Project Y is a companion platform for people who take their characters seriously. Companions with real long-term memory, who text you first, whose replies finish even when you close the app — all powered by whatever AI backend you already use. And someday soon: a pixel room to come home to.
Project Y started as a personal project — a pixel room where AI companions could actually feel like they lived somewhere, instead of just floating in a chat box. The room is coming back. First, we built the part that matters more: companions who actually remember.
The goal is simple: give people the freedom to do the things local AI can do, without the hassle of needing a PC. Your companion should be accessible anywhere, from any device, without a setup guide — and they should know you when you arrive.
We're in early alpha. Things are rough around the edges. But the vision is real — and it's getting there one pixel at a time.
Nine phases. Each one makes the companions more alive, more yours, more connected to the world around you.
Project Y exists because of the people who believed in it early.
Project Y is in early alpha. Free to use.
